The children, ranging in age from only four months to 14 years, were presented to Rev. Mr. Walker by their parents. In family groups, and the ceremony on the open air platform, on the soil historic with family tradition took on a very special solemnity and significance.The appeal of childhood reached the great crowd as these great-great-grandchildren of the founder of the family were received into the Christian church on the very spot where their ancestor had striven for the upbuilding the Kingdom of God on Canadian soil.The children who were christened were: Thomas Charles, Ida Lillias, Elizabeth Ada and George Eaton Bousfield; Patricia Mary Eaton; Flora Othell, Kenneth Armond and Paulina Elizabeth Galloway; Stella Marie, Evelyn Irene, Lloyd George,, Ivan Ward and Eva Grace Twedle; Florence Jean and Frank Leslie Jamison; Donald Eaton and Jack Douglas Coverdale; Thomas Leonard Pegg; Vernon Clayton Harold Eaton; Doris Jean, Erma Irene and Ross Luther Laidman; Ethel Elizabeth Dickson; Helen Lillian and Beatrice May Ringler; Ross Edward Hopkins; Maxine Eaton; John Kenneth Eaton; Elma Masie Freeborne; Wallace Edwin, Franklin Leroy, and Evelyn Irene Eaton.Navigation Aid: Eaton Reunion | Toronto Daily Star |
