James Lyons
Mr. Lyons married Angelina Hodgson, of Beaverton, Ontario,
in 1898, who predeceased him in 1945, and leaves to mourn his loss four
sons, Harry C. Lyons, William H. Lyons, Earl J. Lyons and Winfield Lyons,
and two daughters, Hilda M. and Phyllis L., all of this city.
He was a member of Keystone lodge A.F.&A.M., Bessemer Lodge, I.O.O.F.,
Morning Star, L.O.L. and C.O.F. He was a member of John Street United
Church.
James Lyons was the eldest son of a family of 13 and from the onset
his father, after whom he was named, placed responsibilities on his shoulders
that undoubtedly played a large part in the creating of the forceful aggressive
character, that, knowing no obstacles, pushed ever onward to whatever
goal might be set.
